Gasthaus Boeckmann in Bad Laer

It was a very nice evening and the food was delicious.

We were there with 5 people on the weekend. Not too crowded, seats were cozy. The service is really very attentive! We ate there too (4x steak, 1x Jägerschnitzel) and it was brilliant! The meat: great quality and all steaks fried to the point! Price / performance ratio was very good - we will definitely be back!

Great restaurant in a central location in Bad Laer and much more than just a pub. The schnitzel are great and the hospitality was great. It has a traditional feel to it with a modern style.

The menu is small but nice. I have never eaten a better steak "english". All dishes prepared with love. Great value for money and worthy of the atmosphere of a rustic pub. We keep coming back.

Very good and cheap food. The portions more than enough and also delicious beers of the Krombacher brewery are here (Kellerbier, dark beer and Pils) Although a very small, but tasty card The owners very nice, the Dutch chef is a true top chef, have rarely eaten such a delicious schnitzel. Be sure to try the gourmet schnitzel! We will be back!

Upon arriving to Bad Laer we came across this GEM while strolling through the town. Seeing the delicious food and relaxed atmosphere we got a table outside looking out at the square with a beautiful bird chorus soundtrack. The staff was patient with our lack of German language and the steak was phenomenal. It came with a herb butter and perfectly crisp French fries. We opted for the meal that came with a salad (awesome) and finished with a vanilla sundae complete with fresh German strawberries. Overall I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, delicious and enjoyable meal. Shoutout to the awesome staff members who helped us order and enjoy our experience!

Here we could spend a nice evening. Under new management, a concept was implemented for the first time at Böckmann. The traditional ambience has been retained. That makes for a pleasant atmosphere. The map is tightly sorted into two focal points. Nevertheless, everyone will find the right thing for themselves. The service is excellent. Special requests were accepted and implemented perfectly. Also the service at the table was exemplary. Never intrusive, but always there. This is rare. For the sustainable implementation of the concept, two or three things should be implemented. The wooden benches without backrest should be replaced in the rear area against the well padded chairs. This is essential for the transformation from a pub to a restaurant. Furthermore, the "counter operation" the visitors of the restaurant quickly fail. Here you can use the bar as a restaurant. Cozy chairs, cutlery on the counter and there are already sitting the numerous distributors who regularly stay in Bad Laer. We will be back definitely.
